Our favourite couple Raven and Evan are back for another family portrait, this time with baby Violet, the happiest baby we’ve ever seen! We can’t wait to shoot more photos of this little flapper girl as she grows up.

Renee & Matt Engagement

Renee and Matt’s love for the outdoors, their playful dogs and each other really shined at our outdoor photo shoot on Moonlight beach. The shoot ended with a stunning sunset which made way for some warm and romantic pink toned photos. Renee and Matt are getting married on September 29, 2012.

Danielle & Matt Engagement

We had an awesome time shooting Danielle and Matthew’s engagement pictures at Bridal Veil Falls. We were blown away by the stunning frozen water falls and sunset that followed. The couple was adventurous and braved the icy caverns behind the falls. Climbing over the frozen water I hoped I wouldn’t slip and drop my camera down into the icy lake. Luckily all went according to plan, nobody was injured, including my camera, and the photos turned out great. Danielle and Matt are getting married on August 11, 2012.

Greater Sudbury Heritage

Preserving Sudbury’s rich and diverse history can be a tricky task. Stories and pictures are scattered, stored in attic boxes and scrapbooks, shared only when a passing interest arises. The Greater Sudbury Heritage aims to preserve buildings and architecture, and create an online place where people can upload pictures and information about past events.

When we started the project, we thought about why buildings are important to us, beyond simply providing protection from the elements. They’re our homes, they’re our schools, they’re where we get married and where we work. There’s a saying about “…if these wall could speak.” that we felt made a connection between concrete and emotion and this is where our concept springs from.

The simple logo is a section of a wall or detail from a building. Photographs we’ve taken from the Sudbury area of a historically significant place.

Sweetgrass Fitness

This personal trainer is ready to whip her clients into shape in her spa inspired studio. Keeping the significance of mind, body and soul of the braided sweet grass, the logo also represents muscle tone and shape. During the photo shoot, the room just glowed with her lime green and aqua colour scheme, allowing her photos to really pop and give a her a vibrant and refreshing look.

Kaila and Kalton

While on maternity leave from the very hardcore sport of roller derby, Kaila still wanted to do a derby inspired maternity photos shoot. The day we took her pregnancy photos is the day she gave birth to the beautiful Kalton. It takes a strong women like Kaila to be in labour and still bring the best looking shots. Two weeks after her baby was born, she came back to our studio for the “after” photo shoot. Luckily, she was accompanied by baby derby referee, Kalton.

Sixth Avenue Golf Course | Lively Fall 2011

Golf, horses, and Alice in Wonderland. It rained all day and our feet were soaked by the end of the night, but the warmth of the tent and party atmosphere kept everyone’s mind off the weather. We had a blast trekking around in the mud after horses, chasing the groom and gang around the golf course, and capturing those one of a kind moments during the night.
